Conference and

Pilgrimage to the Holy Land

Israel and Palestine

November 2- 9, 2006

Join with clergy and lay persons from the Diocese of Massachusetts and the Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Center to explore life and times of Christians living the Holy Land. The theme of the conference is “The Forgotten Faithful” a Window into the Life and Witness of Christians in the Holy Land.

“The Forgotten Faithful” is a traveling conference that will include trips to Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Ramallah and its surrounding villages, as well as Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee. During the trip we will visit, worship with and share the lives of Christians as we learn the realities of life in Palestine today, hear from Christians about their challenges and aspirations, understand the relationships between Christians and Muslims, and develop practical tools and ideas to support and empower Christians in Palestine and Israel.

We will be traveling with people and staff that are both knowledgeable and cautious about the daily conditions of life in the Middle East with a priority for the safety of participants uppermost, adjusting the schedule as necessary to assure same travel.

Registration and special land packages for the conference will range from $1100 to $1300 (depending upon accomdations), excluding air travel from US to Israel. If there is sufficient interest, a post conference tour will be planned.
